There may be additional coach facilitators using this course to familiarize themselves with new material, and re-certify to facilitate future courses.
This course is the one-day in-person element of the Competition Coach course. On-ice sessions will include: - technical skills for delivery - Brushing and analysis of skills
Classroom sessions will focus on practice planning.
As a pre-requisite, prospective coaches are to take the online training portion of the Competition Coach course for an additional $125.00. Registration for the online portion of this course can be found here: https://canada.curling.io/en/products/9791-competition-coach-online-training
This course, combined with the on-line course curriculum, and the Making Ethical Decisions course will allow coaches to meet the requirements for Curling Competition Coach - Trained status.
Please bring your curling equipment, a writing utensil, and a device to access online content with you, and be ready for a day full of on-ice and classroom instruction.
